I had a conversation with someone last night about them how people come into our lives for a given reason.
Those ‘Aha Moment” Relationships
I see how all of the relationships that stemmed from the small coincidences, brought the biggest personal growth and breakthroughs in my life. Why is this? Have you heard someone say, “If you ask God for strength, you will be given a trial to help you develop the strength needed.” Could this be the case when it comes to relationships and human connections as well? It would only make sense right? Do we have pacts with certain people to help us learn specific lessons in this life? I think so.
I believe that we have a given duty when we come to this Earth. We are fully aware of what our Dharma, or life purpose, is and we plant seeds to help us along the way. Our parents become our parents because we chose them to be our parents. The life partner we choose was also chosen by us because we needed them to help us complete the journey we were sent here to complete.
This also goes for relationships and personal growth. In my cases, I have learned myself through the relationships I have been in. Relationships are hard. It takes a lot of work to keep communication strong, and you have to look at your self in the mirror without a filter. We must work on ourselves when we have a relationship. Personal growth isn’t an option, but a need when you have to support someone and stand by them.
Sometimes we have to learn from others, and sometimes they have to break us to help teach us the lesson. We are more prone to change when we feel vulnerable and broken. Again, coincidence that personal growth happens when people are at their worst? I think not.
We may be serving as a lesson to someone else. Life may not seem fair, but there is a purpose. At times we feel that we get the short end of the stick, but maybe we are contributing to the other person’s journey at that point of time. Maybe this is the pact that we made with them to help them grow.
Seeing Reason in the Small Things
This goes back to the quote I said earlier about asking God for strength and being given a situation that would help build the strength needed. We are drawn to certain things, certain hobbies, certain types of people. Why are we attracted to these things? Are these part of the tracks that we are supposed to follow along the way that guide us to live our best life?
Our hearts know the way, always. We do what makes us feel the happiest, there has to be a reason why it makes us happy. There is a purpose for it being there in the first place. Nothing is coincidence. Everything serves a purpose in one way or another, whether it is a setback or to help us keep putting one foot in front of the other.
Always Listen to Your Intuition
Let your intuition be your guide, it is our internal compass that is to guide us towards happiness. When it speaks, honor it. If you feel the need to go to a certain restaurant, go. See how it works as a guide for you. The more you honor what it says, the more it communicates to you. Follow the pathway that you laid out for yourself, and continue to follow it through all struggles. I’m sure the journey is hard, but it is always worth it.
Living in Trust
Life throws us curve balls, because we must grow. We must have a human experience, learn the body, and overcome many things in this life. Do we purposefully plant our breakdowns to immediately build us up in a given way to repel us forward towards the finish line? The grey are between 0% to 100% is ever-changing, but trust. The quicker and easier we see the lesson that is needing to be learned, the quicker we can move onto the next and fulfill the calling that we have on this Earth.
