Essential Oils are Amazing, here I will break down the benefits, precautions, and how to get started!
These oils come from everything: trees, leaves, petals, fruit. They are processed in many ways depending on the oil but can be cold pressed, resin tapped, or steam distilled. They are highly concentrated so be sure to dilute them with a carrier oil prior to use.
How does it work?
When you apply an essential oil to the skin, it is absorbed through the bloodstream or through inhalation. Different oils will do different things. Some can improve your mood, relieve stress, help you fall asleep, reduce pain, balance hormones, rid bacteria, the list is endless!

Ways to use Essential Oils:
Diffusing: If you get a diffuser, just drop a few drops of the oil into the diffuser and it’ll fill the room with the oil you choose.
(Diffusing Faves: Eucalyptus and Lavender when I am winding down the night, Frankincense during mediation.)
Topically: You can add the oil to the skin, just ensure you are diluting it in an oil of your choice (I like Jojoba or Fractionated Coconut Oil). Best places to put are on the soles of the feet and behind the ears because those are the highest absorption spots. You can add them to pulse points or anywhere you desire based on the need.
(Topical Faves: Frankincense and Lavender Blend with Jojoba Oil and Rosehip Oil for a facial moisturizer, Everyday favorite for the body would be Highest Potential Blend By Young Living mixed in Jojoba Oil.)
Inhalation: I like to add a few drops onto a cotton ball and inhale, this helps if you are on the go and don’t have a diffusor. you can even just open the bottle and inhale it without even dropping any oil out.
(Inhalation Faves: Eucalyptus when my sinuses are bad. Orange when I need an energy boost.)
Household Use: I use them in all of my cleaning products! Its so easy when you don’t need to run to the store for cleaners anymore, and they aren’t toxic like most cleaners.
(Cleaning Recipes: My go to is Thieves Blend by Young Living, just mix that with water and castille soup and you are good to go. Lemon Oil and Olive Oil is also a great alternative for furniture polish.)
